Learn, share, hack, pitch: that will be the theme of our Startup Mini Camp, held next spring somewhere in the Öresund region. The overall theme is getting things done.
Why learn, share, hack, pitch?
- Learn. When you learn you grow. When you grow, opportunities arise. So – learn much and learn often.
- Share. Sharing your knowledge and your passion is the best way to get feedback and improve. It also helps you gain friends. Plus, it’s a really nice thing to do.
- Hack. Hacking is building. Hacking is testing out new things. Hacking is mashing stuff together. Hacking is remixing. When you hack you invent and you build at the same time. That’s a very good thing for a startup to do.
- Pitch. What you’ve built is useless if you can’t explain the value and sell it. Selling is an art and pitching is the packaging.
Here’s the status so far:
- We will hold a camp and it will be for 2 days, probably over a weekend.
- The camp will most likely be held in April 2010 in Malmö or Lund in the south of Sweden.
- We’re still looking for a good place to be. Any suggestions?
- We’re not planning to have “big names” come and do a speaker session. This is an action-oriented unconference. Not a lean-back, sit-and-listen traditional conference. Basically, we want it to be a mix of 24 Hour Business Camp and Sweden Social Web Camp with a startup focus.

Update: no startup mini camp this year but two Startup Weekends coming up! Don’t miss it.
